Which mode is best for controlling a refrigeration compressor?

Difference of temperature of environment and the temperature you have set defines the operation of compressor. From the theory of energy loss, energy loss is more if temperature difference is more, and compressor need more energy to maintain the cooling inside refrigerator. You are advise to set your refrigerator temperature around -8 degree Centigrade lower than environment temperature.
